Terms of service
Last updated October 15, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Michael Squires, who runs Kihap (“Kihap”, “we”, “us”), for using kihap.app, the Kihap Apple TV app and the service behind them (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use the Service for a business, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.
1. The beta
Kihap is in an invite-only beta. During the beta the Service is free. Features may change, be added or be removed, and there may be bugs or interruptions; we don't promise any particular availability. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before charging for anything you already use, and you can delete your account before then.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 to create an account.
- Keep your sign-in details secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give us accurate information, and keep your email address current so we can reach you.
3. Your content
Everything you add (photos, videos, shows, schedules and the rest) stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display it only as needed to run the Service for you, for example to make previews and versions sized for your screens and to show it on the screens you pair.
You're responsible for your content. In particular, you confirm that:
- you have the rights to everything you upload, including any music in videos, and permission from the people it shows (and from a parent or guardian, for minors);
- it's lawful, and suitable for the place your screens are.
Accounts have a storage limit, shown when you reach it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to, or try to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- upload malware or anything harmful;
- get around its security or rate limits, or access accounts or data that aren't yours;
- overload or disrupt it, or scrape it with automated tools;
- resell it, or copy it to build a competing product.
5. The Apple TV app
The Apple TV app is also subject to Apple's terms for apps from its App Store or TestFlight. Apple isn't a party to these terms and isn't responsible for the app or its support.
6. Information from others
Some slides show information from other sources, such as weather from the US National Weather Service. We pass it on as we get it and can't guarantee it's accurate or current; don't rely on it for safety decisions.
7. Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account; what happens to your data then is in our privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or others at risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to download your data. We may also end the beta or the Service, with at least 30 days' notice.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
9. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.
10. Indemnity
You'll defend and compensate us for claims and costs arising from your content or your breaking these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Fulton County, Georgia, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post changes here and update the date above, and email you before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.
